Crystal Harris - Fitness Instructor

Crystal has taught yoga at Blue Valley Rec since 2013 and you can find her in the yoga studio Monday-Friday.

Classes Taught: Yoga Basics, Chair Yoga

Certifications Held: E-RYT 500 -Asheville Yoga Center
YACEP (yoga alliance continuing education provider)

Class Expectations: My yoga class is alignment based, but I recognize all of our bodies are different, so one size (or yoga cue) does not fit all!  You will build better balance, body strength and flexibility while having fun and learning a little about yourself along the way.

Favorite Workout: Yoga!

Go-to Protein: High Protein Chocolate Smoothie with Extra Peanut Butter

Relaxation Time: I love to walk my yorkipoo Teddy, read, watch a movie, get a massage, drink a glass of red wine and talk with girlfriends.

Favorite Color: I love white; it is the color of light, brilliance, illumination and understanding.

Mantra: Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu. (May all beings everywhere be happy and free)

Ideal Day Friend: Because I feel these people have led fascinating lives, I would love to chat with Oprah, Mick Jagger, Jane Fonda and David Letterman.  I would also enjoy a day with George Clooney but I would be tongue tied!

I love my students at Blue Valley Rec.  I feel so privileged to lead them in their practice.  I wake up everyday with a smile on my face because I get to do the thing I love.
