4th Annual Strut for the Streaks 5K/Walk

Race Start Time: 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run - 8:00 a.m.
Race Start Location: Blue Valley Recreation Complex- Fields 2-4 (9701 W. 137th).
Sorry, registration fees will not be refunded or transferred.

As a participant of the Strut for the Streaks 5K, you will enjoy a certified course, chip timing, a  t-shirt, and awards for top overall performance, masters, and 5-year age groups.  A portion of the proceeds go to Blue Valley Blue Streaks, our local Special Olympics team.


*Additional breakfast tickets for guests will be available.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be at the East Parking Lot (9701 W. 137th Street) on Friday, August 15 from 3-6 p.m.
You can also pick up your packet on the day of the event at the East Parking Lot (9701 W. 137th Street) at 7 a.m.


Age Group Awards

Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following age categories:

14+ under   45 – 49
15 – 19   50 – 54
20 – 24   55 – 59
25 – 29   60 – 64
30 – 34   65 – 69
35 – 39   70 – 74
40 – 44   75+


Awards not picked up at the event will be available at the Blue Valley Recreation Complex beginning August 18.

As you can imagine a race/ walk takes a lot of people to make it successful. So we are looking for some great volunteers to help! If you are interested, please call 913.685.6030. 

Will there be food and drinks at the end?
Yes, we will have food, water, and Gatorade for all participants at the end of the race.
Where does the race start and where does it end?
The race starts and finishes at the Blue Valley RC (9701 W. 137th St) in Fields 2-4 parking lot.
Where does the course go?
The USATF Certified Course starts on 137th Street and loops east to Antioch, south at 143rd Street, west to Switzer, then north to 137th Street to end where it began.
What if it rains?
We will run in the rain, but reserve the right to cancel the race should conditions become unsafe.
Do I have to register online?
No, you can download a registration form and mail it with a check for the entry fee.
Where and when is packet pickup?
All participants can pick up their bib numbers, timing devices, and event shirts at the East Parking Lot (9701 W. 137th Street) on Friday, August 15.
I registered, but can't participate. Do I still get my shirt?
Yes, you can still pick up your shirt at the RC starting August 18. Sorry, shirts and medals will NOT be mailed.
I won't be able to participate. Can I transfer my registration to next year or give it to a friend?
Sorry, but there are no refunds, transfers, or credit.
Can I use a stroller?Yes, this is a family event and we would love to have everyone come. We do ask that all participants using strollers start in the back of the pack, so the runners without the strollers can clear space first.
I have a friend who would like to volunteer? Can they help?
Sure, have them call 913.685.6030 for volunteer information.
Can a friend or family member pick up my packet?
Of course.
