Tournaments at Blue Valley Rec typically run for 3 to 4 days and are sanctioned by USSSA, ensuring quality competition and organization. To start, teams are guaranteed a set number of games during pool play. Then, they advance into an elimination bracket based on their performance. Most games take place at the Sports Complex, with field assignments varying by age group. This format allows teams to compete in a structured, exciting environment from start to finish.

To help teams ease into the season, Blue Valley Rec hosts a preseason youth basketball tournament designed to build confidence and teamwork early on. Games are played at the Rec Center as well as various Blue Valley School District gyms, offering convenient locations for players and fans alike.

Guidelines
To help keep everyone healthy, the Sports Complex is a smoke-free facility. Additionally, while outside food is not allowed inside, you are welcome to tailgate in the parking lot—just be sure to clean up after yourself. For your convenience, multiple concession stands are available throughout the complex.
At the Rec Center, please note that there is no designated space for team meetings. Therefore, we recommend holding any team discussions before entering the facility. These guidelines help us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.

When attending a tournament at Blue Valley Rec, it’s important to plan ahead. Most tournaments charge an admission fee for spectators, and the price is set by the tournament organizers. As a result, fees may vary depending on the event. To avoid surprises, be sure to check the specific tournament details in advance. This way, you’ll be ready to enjoy the action from the stands without missing a beat.

To help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests, pets are not allowed at Blue Valley Rec events or facilities. However, we gladly welcome service animals in accordance with ADA guidelines. By following this policy, we create a more enjoyable experience for everyone attending our programs and tournaments.
