TAKE Self Defense

The TAKE Self Defense in Overland Park program empowers women with practical skills and awareness to help prevent violent crime. Created in honor of 19-year-old Leawood resident Ali Kemp, this program continues her legacy by providing women with tools that can help them recognize danger, respond confidently, and protect themselves.

During this class, participants learn basic self-defense techniques and personal safety strategies designed to help avoid becoming a victim. Instructors guide attendees through practical skills that can be used to recognize threats, respond quickly, and thwart an attack.

The TAKE Self Defense program focuses on awareness, prevention, and confidence, helping women feel more prepared and empowered in everyday situations.
