Open Court Calendar

A Recreation Center membership or a $15 Day Pass is required to use our Open Court time.

REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED TO USE OUR OPEN COURT TIMES

Volleyballs, basketballs, and pickleballs/paddles are not allowed on courts or in gyms unless that activity is scheduled for open play or programming purposes.

**THE OPEN COURT SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. BVSD OUT OF SCHOOL DAYS WILL AFFECT THE SCHEDULE. IF AN ACTIVITY IS NOT LISTED, IT IS NOT BEING OFFERED ON THAT DAY DUE TO OTHER PROGRAMMING.**

Open Court Rules

• Children under the age of ten (10) must be accompanied by a person sixteen (16) years or older while on courts.
• No outside food or drink allowed on the courts.
• No personal items are to be placed on the court floor.
• We strongly encourage members to place all items in a cubby or locker. BVRC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• All equipment used on the courts should be used appropriately and safely.
• Only equipment for scheduled open court activities are allowed to be used on courts (i.e no soccer balls, footballs, racquets, frisbees, etc.).

• The Rec Center courts are used for a variety of purposes including programs, rentals, activities, events, and open play.
  • All designated open play will be displayed through our open court schedule online and is subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
• Patrons will not adjust volleyball net or basketball goal heights.
• Monopolizing of courts for training, coaching, drills, or practices is not allowed during scheduled open court times.
  • Paid training, practices, or coaching sessions are not allowed in the facility.
• Offensive language, horseplay, or inappropriate /disrespectful behavior is not allowed and will not be tolerated.
• Any behavior determined to be unacceptable by the RC, and /or detrimental to those we serve will result in removal from the facility for the day. Repeat violators may lose court privileges and/or have their membership revoked.

Dress Code

• Participants should wear athletic apparel and closed toed athletic shoes at all times.
• Crocs, dress shoes and sandals are not allowed.
• Clothing must be appropriate for all ages.
• Shirts must be worn at all times and should not be removed outside of a locker room/changing room area.
• Undergarments (i.e sports bras, bras, underwear, etc) must be covered at all times.
• Swimsuits are not allowed.

Open Basketball Rules

• Due to risk of injury: No dunking is allowed.
• No hanging on any rims at any time.
• No half court or full court shots.
• Full court basketball games may be played when space is available.
  • Staff may stop full court games when others are waiting for court space.
• All basketball goals will remain at ten (10) feet in height at all times, unless otherwise coordinated by staff or management for a specific program or rental.
• Only Basketballs allowed on open Basketball courts.
• Violations of these rules will result in removal from the facility for the day. Repeat violators may lose court privileges and/or have their membership revoked.

Open Pickleball Rules

• When courts are full, players take turns by stacking paddles, allowing others to play.
• When games are finished the players will leave the court and allow the next players to rotate on.
• Players may not place multiple paddles on the stacking area to reduce their wait time.
• Games are played to 11 points or a 15 minute MAX time limit before rotating off.
• At no time will any player move another persons paddle.
• Nets may only be moved by a staff member
