Get into the Swing of Things with Youth Baseball Leagues and Camps
Blue Valley Rec is the place for baseball in Overland Park with fun leagues and quality instruction in a fun and safe environment. Our grade-specific youth baseball leagues and quality camps allow every participant to be part of a team.

Youth Baseball throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall
Baseball has many benefits for kids, including physical and mental health, experiencing teamwork, and developing social skills. The sport helps develop motor skills including hand-eye coordination and boosts confidence.

Summer Youth Baseball (March - July)
- Grades Pre-K to 12
Open to all boys in grades PreK through 12th grade during 2024-25 academic year. Players must attend school within or live within the Blue Valley School District. We are committed to adhering to high standards for coaches and parents in their position as a role model to our youth.

Golden Glove (March - June)
- Ages 9U to 14U
An elite youth baseball league co-managed by the Blue Valley Recreation Commission (BVRC) and Olathe Youth Baseball (OYB). This league is being offered for players and teams who wish to compete at a high skill level. Teams wishing to play in this league should be considered AAA or Major level with USSSA baseball. In addition, we will offer a separate division for AA level teams. This league is team registration only.

Fall Baseball (Aug. - Oct.)
- Grades K to 8
Open to boys in grades K-8 during 2024-25 academic year. We are committed to adhering to high standards for coaches and parents in their position as a role model to our youth. This league is team registration only.

Baseball Camps and Clinics
- Ages 6 and up
Blue Valley Rec baseball camps in Overland Park are a great opportunity to improve skills, learn a new sport, or have fun being part of an encouraging atmosphere.

Tournaments
- Ages 8U to 16U
Blue Valley Rec hosts several tournament and also rents the Sports Complex to outside organizations for their tournaments.

Supports in areas requiring programming recommendations and administrative review. Composed of an odd number of members, with a minimum of three with three year terms.
- Conducts interviews and selecting coaches.
- Deliberates and acts on formal protests.
- Reviews rules, policies, post-season evaluations and surveys.
- Recommends changes for consideration by staff.
- Reviews and recommends action on special requests from parents/player concerning team changes.
- Conducts hearings on “incidents,” as defined by the Official Rules and Policies Handbook currently in effect for the particular program, and recommends appropriate actions.
