Make a Difference
Youth sports play a vital role in a child’s overall development. With this in mind, we’ve designed our recreation leagues to help participants experience the positive aspects of sports, such as teamwork, confidence, and character building. However, we recognize that achieving this goal isn’t possible without well-prepared and supportive coaches.
That’s why, at Blue Valley Rec, we’ve partnered with leading experts in character development through sports to ensure our coaches have access to the tools they need. Through the Royals Amateur Development System, coaches receive timely resources including practice plans, sport-specific drills, and coaching courses tailored to both baseball and softball. As a result, we create a stronger, more rewarding experience for every player and coach involved.
Sportsmanship Matters
At Blue Valley Rec, we take sportsmanship seriously—both on and off the field. As parents and coaches, it’s our shared responsibility to model respect, self-restraint, and positive encouragement for young athletes. By setting a strong example, we not only promote healthy competition but also help strengthen the connections within our community’s youth.
To support this effort, we’ve partnered with respected organizations such as Proactive Coaching, Enjoy the Game, and Officially Human. Through these partnerships, we provide coaches, parents, and players with the tools and resources they need to promote and practice good sportsmanship at every level.
